Meet the trainers
Brian Thornton
Brian Thornton has been working with horses for over 27 years. Originally from Omaha, Nebraska he has spent much of his career working on ranches and with cattle operations across the Midwest. Brian relocated his business to Southern California in 2022.
Brian specializes in western style training including reining, cowhorse, ranch versatility and team sorting. In addition, he has spent nearly 20 years perfecting his colt starting skills.
Brian is a proven money earner with earnings over $30,000 in team sorting events. He also has vast show experience in reining, cowhorse, ranch versatility and team sorting. Brian also operated his own breeding program for over 10 years where he had bred and raised many proven winners.
His training style and experiences make him an excellent coach. With abilities to coach both riders and competitors in non-pro, amateur, novice and youth classes.
Brooke Wenger
Brooke began riding at the young age of 5. She has a keen eye for detail and an inherent understanding of equine behavior. As a young teen she received a green mustang which she finished training and turned into a very reliable broke mare.
Over the past 5 years, she has held a range of positions that have enabled her to utilize and enhance her skills across various riding disciplines, including ranch riding, trail riding and a variety of western riding disciplines. She has worked as a riding coach, honing the abilities of riders of all levels. As a wrangler, she has managed and cared for horses, ensuring their health and wellbeing as well as managing people and horses in high risk situations. And as a horse trainer, she has used her knowledge and skills to prepare horses for a wide range of activities.
Her passion, dedication, and extensive experience make her an invaluable asset to our team.
